My whole life I have never smoked anything.  I never felt the necessity to try a cigarette,  blunt, or anything that you can smoke. As a preteen, I lost my father to lung cancer. I saw him go from being an extremely healthy man to an extremely sickly and feeble man. It was traumatizing every time that I saw my dad not be able to breathe and a terrible memory that i always have. The ability to breathe and to have healthy lungs is something I will never take for granted. I know Marijuana isn't linked to lung cancer, I just don't have the desire to fill my lungs up with anything. I can have fun without getting high. People that say that they smoke because "they're going to die anyway and they might as well live it up", I think you're stupid. Yes, we are all going to die, but why risk dying such a horroble way.? Smoking can lead to many terrible things not just cancer but it shortens your life anyway.  Just felt like ranting because I'm on a train and someone smells like weed.

5 Easy Ways To Save Money (Broke College Girl Edition)

I'm a really cheap girl, by cheap I mean I don't like to spend a lot of money on me by buying expensive, purses, mani/pedis. I will admit that if I was rich, I'd spend a lot of money on going out to eat and traveling (two of my favorite things). I try to spoil my friends and family on their birthdays, but I never spend a lot on myself, because I just can't bring myself to do it and I rather spend money on things/places/experiences where I can make memories. I'm not a material thing kind of girl.

1.  Pack Your Lunch

-  Anyone that knows me well knows how much I adore food. Most of the money I spend is on food. I LOVE going out to eat, but lately I've been packing my lunch and not only have I seen financial benefits, I've seen my health improve and my tummy has gone down lol. We all love going out to eat, but if you work/go to school, you should pack your lunch and save yourself some money. It's okay to treat yourself a few times a week/ month, but really you can save $50-100 a week by packing your own lunch.

2. Paint Your Own Nails

Another thing that I love is getting my nails done, but it can get really pricy. A year I would go every three weeks to get a gel manicure and honestly it's not worth it. It's unhealthy for your nails and it's expensive as hell. Go to the store and buy yourself some nail polish. Trust me you can paint your own nails, if you're bad at it then practice. I have gotten really good at it. I'm the next best thing to Vietnamese nail artists. Ha!

3. Shop at Tj Maxx and Marshalls

-I've never been into designer stuff, okay maybe I like some designer stuff, but I've never been able to afford it or when I could afford it, I wasn't willing to spend that much money on a purse, shirt etc. Surprisingly you can find a lot of designer stuff from these stores and a lot of great quality clothing. It's okay to splurge, if you're splurging at these stores lol or if you're rich.

4.  Go To Matinee Movies
- I am a film major for goodness sake, I love going to the movies, watching movies, etc. I always go to movies before noon, because it's $5- $6 bucks cheaper than movie tickets are at night. If my family or friends are reading this, yes, I go to the movies a lot at night, but that's because my school gives film students free passes. When I don't have a free pass, I go in the morning to the movies.

5. Pre- game
I'm not much of a drinker, I do love me some wine, but I don't usually go out just to drink. If you're the kind who loves to drink then pre game instead of buying multiple expensive drinks on your girls night out, or wherever the heck you're going or have a girls night at your place.

Sh** taken people say to single people

This is just a generalization of a few things people have said to me in my time as a single girl.

1. At least I have a boyfriend/ girlfriend

Good for you. LOL. It's rude and stupid to say that to a single person. I don't need a boyfriend to be happy and you're sort of saying that I do. Congratulations on having a boyfriend/ girlfriend, but there's no need to compete or compare yourself to a single person.

2. You're too picky.

- Bitch, I'm not picky. I just know what I want. After ending a relationship, it's okay to be a single for a while. I'm not picky, but if I'm not interested in a guy, I'm not going to give him false hope and hang out with him to lead him on.

3. I can set you up with someone...

- I'm 22 (turning 23) in two days. I'm not an old maid. I don't want or need to be set up with anyone. Just because I'm single it doesn't mean I will never find love. When people suggest setting me up with someone it's insulting.

4. Can I bring my boyfriend/gf?

- Ugh, don't get me wrong I love my friends boyfriends/ girlfriends, but sometimes I'd like to hang out with just them for an hour.  Sometimes I'll get a pass to a movie screening and I'll invite a friend and they will ask if they can bring their bf/gf too.

5. Awww, I'm sorry you're single.

- Don't be. Being single is not a cancer diagnosis. I personally love being single. I have been single the past two years and honestly, it's been the happiest time of my life. I would like to find love, but I'm in no rush and I'm living my life to the fullest. It'll happen when it's meant to be.

22 memories as a 22 year old

I will be turning 23 on Friday. I am very sad that I will no longer be 22, it has truly been an amazing year for me and I won't be able to rock out to Taylor Swift's "22" as a 22 year old anymore :-(. To make up for my last negative post about school, I'm going to list 22 amazing memories that I've had as a 22 year old. These are not in a specific order of how special they were to me.

1. Trip to Miami for Halloween with my best friend Kendra.

2. First time as an extra on my favorite show Vampire Diaries.

3. First time in a feature film (Solace).

4. Being an extra on the Endless Love remake. Alex Pettyfer is a douche, but he's hot.

5. Taylor Swift Concert

6. Maroon 5 Concert

7. Seeing Russell Brand live. Love him.

8. Winning World War Z premiere tickets off the radio and seeing Brad Pitt in person.

9.  Making the Dean's list ( I've been terrible at school my whole life, this truly was a huge deal for me).

10. Overcoming my fear of heights and  zip lining down a huge mountain.

11. Trip to Playa del Carmen with my grandparents and aunt.

12. Getting closer to distant family members.

13.  Making new friends on various sets. Some of these people will definitely be my lifelong friends.

14. Taking my first solo trip to Nashville to be on the show Nashville.

15. Spring Break trip to the mountains with Melissa

16.  Having my first fitting on a TV show and getting my makeup and hair done next to Kat Graham (the sweetest girl ever).

17. Nannying the best kids ever and raising newborn puppies for 9 weeks.

18.  Moving on from childcare work. Love my kids to death, but I've gotten move on to film work.

19. Running Zombie Run, Tripp Halstead Run, 5k Dance Party, Run or Dye, Run for your lives.

20. Becoming more fit.

21. Becoming closer to my sister.

22. Finally getting a MacBook pro that I've wanted for years.

I've reached that point where I am just so over school and I've started to care less about my studies and I'm lacking motivation. I've been on the Dean's list for the past year so I haven't literally stopped doing my work, I'm still doing a good job, I've just stopped caring. Sometimes I really wish I had not gone to college. I will have loans to pay off after I graduate. Whenever I go to work as an extra, the crew members of films/ TV shows tell me that they did not go to college. I know that college is not a waste of time, but I am just so overwhelmed with the work load that I have been given this semester. My school schedule has been so crazy that I had to quit my nanny job. I am jobless and I feel like a bum. I've worked ever since I was 17 or 18 and I hate not having a job. I still babysit on the side and do some film/ tv extra work on Fridays if my school workload allows it, but I also don't want to get a weekend job because I also use that time to do my school work. Some people ask "Why don't you do PA work?" I'd love to. Trust me, that's my goal after college to start off as a PA then work my way up, but if you want to get good grades and graduate you can't really be a PA (requires 10- 20 hour work days) and I'm in school four days a week.  I'm sorry, I just had to vent. I really hate school right now. I was excited to take a production class where we pitch movie ideas, write scripts, cast people, shoot, and edit, but this class has turned out to be a disappointment. They've given us strict guidelines that are movies have to follow. You can't really make a movie that you want to do when you're given so many rules. Aside from that I have twenty page research papers that I have to do this semester. I could go on and on and complain more, but I'll just stop the complaining right here. There is a light at the end of the tunnel, it's called Christmas break. I can't wait to be done with this God- awful semester and I cannot wait to graduate in May.
